MASON CITY | Emily Ginneberge has been hired as Main Street Mason City's new executive director, the organization announced Thursday.
Ginneberge's hire was effective Nov. 27, according to a news release.
“I was attracted by the organization's mission to enhance, promote and preserve downtown Mason City as a diverse business, cultural and residential destination for the benefit of the entire community,” Ginneberge said in a statement.

Ginneberge has more than 10 years of experience in business, event management and marketing. She most recently worked as clubhouse manager for the Mason City Country Club, where she said she developed new family-friendly events and activities.
Main Street Mason City's events and projects include streetscape and facade improvements, Friday Night Live, Great River City Festival, the North Iowa Farmers Market and RAGBRAI.
