Metro teens working to deliver for at-risk Iowans
Some metro teenagers are working together to deliver groceries to Iowans who are at a higher risk of getting COVID-19.
Johnston High School junior Tanner Kenin wanted to help people, rather than sit at home while school is out.
He created "T's Angel Hands" four days ago and has already helped out people in his community.
Anyone in the Polk County area who needs help with grocery shopping can reach out.
You can order your groceries online from any local store. Then contact "T's Angel Hands" and they'll pick up and drop off for free.
"Us being young high school students, we are at less risk than those that are older and some of those people who are older are forced to leave their house, which they should not be doing. The whole point and goal of our organization is so those who need to stay at home, can stay at home and stay safe," Kenin said.
Kenin said his grandparents' need for groceries sparked the idea.
