LATER NEWSCAST. AT RIGHT NOW, FIRST RESPONDERS ARE SEARCHING FOR A MISSING MAN AT SAYLORVILLE LAKE. AGAIN, THIS IS A LIVE LOOK AT THE SCENE THIS MORNING AS SEARCHERS LOOK FOR A MAN WHO HAS BEEN MISSING SINCE SIX LAST NIGHT. AUTHORITIES SAY THE MAN FELL OFF A PONTOON BOAT AND NEVER RESURFACED. THEY ARE NOT READY TO CALL THIS A RECOVERY MISSION.

Authorities say the search will resume Tuesday morning

Emergency responders are continuing to search for a man they say fell out of a boat on Saylorville Lake. The man was on a family outing when he fell off a pontoon boat around 6 p.m. Monday and did not resurface, authorities say. The mile-long bridge that crosses the lake was closed so authorities could use it as an observation point, and a number of teams were called in for the search.The search was paused due to darkness Monday night, and the bridge was reopened around 9 p.m."We're still looking at this as a rescue," Capt. Ryan Evans of the Polk County Sheriff's Office said before the search was stopped for the night due to darkness.
