Bundt bakery featuring big and bite-sized cakes opens in Clive

A popular bakery chain that got its start in Las Vegas has opened a franchise in Clive.

Nothing Bundt Cakes, which sells bundt cakes in a variety of sizes and flavors, debuted Nov. 21 at 1255 N.W. 128th St. Franchisees Sharon Hansen and Melissa Hegarty also own Nothing Bundt Cake stores in Omaha and Lincoln.

The Clive store is the 248th for the company and the first in Iowa.

Nothing Bundt Cakes offers nine standard flavors of red velvet, chocolate chip, lemon, marble, pecan praline, carrot, vanilla, cinnamon swirl and white chocolate raspberry. Sizes range from a 10-inch cake that serves 18 to 20 and costs from $31, to bundtinis, which are bite-sized cakes sold by the dozen for $18.50. The cakes can be decorated for a variety of occasions, Hansen said.

The Clive store will hold grand opening events Friday and Saturday with wine and cake tasting, and free cake for a year for the first 50 guests on Saturday.

The shop is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
